Crete
My island home. Fields of terracotta and olive trees. Large Pithoi decorating the yards. Amphorae, aged underwater, rediscovered by fishermen. Growing up surrounded by pottery forms that have changed little since the ancient times, I am fascinated by the vessel as an object and a symbol. Aiming to create contemporary work with an ancient feel I have used local
terracotta from Crete.
