Captured in her own space in Copenhagen, Marie Jagd opens the doors to her rhythm, her light, and the things she keeps close.

How have 1OAM apotheke objects found their way into your daily life?
When Eva Papadaki, the founder of 1OAM apotheke, brought the brand to Copenhagen this June for 3 Days of Design, I was completely taken by the space she created almost a little sanctuary. I brought home my favorite scents, and they’ve since become part of my everyday rhythm.

What do they bring into the atmosphere of your world, or your rituals?
The scents and textures of the soaps, along with the taste of the honey, bring back the loveliest memories of my grandparents’ home and life, which continue to inspire me endlessly. They make me feel calm and grounded, like being at home.

Which object do you reach for the most, and how has it become part of your rhythm?
The soaps, which I have in both my bathroom and on my home studio desk. In a ritual way, their natural, earthy scents connect me to my core and my roots. I also love the calming sweetness of the Beeswax Balm, which I use on my face and lips every night before going to sleep.

If your home had a scent, texture or feeling, what would it be?
Soft, warm, and the deepest feeling of calm. Sweet and earthy notes. The scent of homemade bread. Embraced by nature’s ancient and pure materials.
